Monadnock Developmental Services is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Keene, New Hampshire. We are the Region V Area Agency designated by the State of New Hampshire to assist individuals with disabilities to live in their communities.
Our mission is to work toward inclusion, participation and mutual relationships for all people who are at risk of isolation from community.
MDS provides assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, children with chronic health conditions, adults with an acquired brain disorder, and elders who need non-medical assistance in their homes.
MDS and its partners help make it possible for children and adults with developmental and other disabilities – 600 families and more than 1,000 individuals in the Monadnock region – to live and work in their communities.
Every person, regardless of ability, has the right to make a meaningful life – the opportunity to go to school, work, have relationships, and participate in the community.
People with developmental disabilities represent one of the last frontiers of civil rights in our country. Communities work hard to tap into the varied gifts of their citizens, and those with developmental disabilities have much to give to make our communities stronger and more humane.
We all benefit from allowing everyone, regardless of ability, the opportunity to use their gifts to the highest potential.
