The US Senate has issued its own version of healthcare reform called the Better Care Reconciliation Act (BCRA) which includes extreme cuts to Medicaid. Medicaid is essential in making sure that people with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD) can live in society and outside of segregated, state-run institutions.

The Senate vote on BCRA is scheduled for just after the July 4th break. Although our own NH Senators are firmly opposed to this, there are other key states who are on the fence. If you know someone in these states, ask them to call their Senators NOW to tell them they must vote NO on the BCRA!
