A budget floor amendment (2017-1213 – see below) has been added to the House budget that will provide about $24 million for developmental services per year in the next two-year state budget. The amendment will likely be offered on the House floor this Wednesday, April 5.

Spread the word to ask your House Reps. to support amendment 2017-1213h to HB 1. The amendment will provide much needed waitlist and direct care worker funding for the DD system.

The current budget proposal does not fully fund the waitlist and does not provide a pay raise to direct care providers. These critical workers haven’t seen an increase in pay in nearly 10 years.
