Advocacy
ACTION ALERT!
DHHS Funding Under Assault, Waitlist Bill in Jeopardy
Advocacy is an effective way for community voices to be heard in our towns, and in Concord and Washington. Advocacy is working at local, state and national levels to help those who enact laws make meaningful changes in public policy and improve lives.
Whether writing a letter to your legislator, attending or speaking at a hearing, or having informed conversations with your neighbors and colleagues, advocating for what you believe in is an important part of civic involvement.
CSNI in Concord, a collaboration of the 10 Area Agencies in New Hampshire, takes an active interest in legislation that could positively or detrimentally impact the developmental disability community. CSNI monitors proposed legislation at the Federal and State level to ensure it advances the "system", and responds to changing needs of those individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
As specific issues arise, we will bring them to your attention on our website.
