Home Care Provider - Adult Foster Care
Home Care Providers are needed to share his/her home with a person who happens to have a disability. Home Providers must be in good health and willing to include someone as a part of their family and not be treated just as a boarder. Qualities such as patience, common sense and genuine acceptance of the person with the disability are highly valued. Location within Keene or surrounding towns preferred.
Job Coach/Vocational Trainer
Job Coaches/Vocational Trainers needed to support individuals with disabilities at their jobs and learning job skills in the greater Keene and Peterborough area. Are you creative? Innovative? Like to teach? This could be the position for you. Duties involve assisting individuals with learning tasks, problem solving, organizing workflow and mentoring. Positions are part time, days, Monday-Friday, between 15-25 hours a week. Reliable transportation is a requirement.
Floating Direct Support Professional (DSP)
MDS has a unique opportunity for a Floating Direct Support Professional (DSP). The Floater will be expected to work in multiple programs and need to be flexible to work any shift including days, nights, weekends and overnights. Must be able to work with all levels of disabilities as well as individuals with behaviors. Schedule is given two weeks in advance. Position is full time and includes a generous benefit package. Shift differential paid for any hours worked from Friday at 8 p.m. to Sunday at 8 p.m.
Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)
DSPs are responsible for supporting people, with a disability, in their communities to lead fully included lives. They support the strengths, gifts and potential of people with disabilities and aid in the removal of barriers preventing a person with a disability to reach their goals. Position may require job support; teaching daily living skills, household management and supporting the person in creating and developing friendships and other relationships. Minimum qualifications include a sound ethical foundation, dedication, creativity, commitment to building a relationship, sense of humor and ability to work in a team environment.
Weekday or Weekend DSPs
MDS is seeking qualified applicants to fill full time/part time weekend and weekday shifts in the Keene and Peterborough area. MDS is seeking applicants who can use discretion and independent judgment to deliver quality care to persons with a developmental disability or acquired brain disorder. Enjoy a variety of responsibilities – reading, games, shopping, and other community activities – to enrich a person's life in a meaningful way. MDS is looking for people to provide temporary relief/respite to primary caregivers of an individual who is at risk or has a disability. Flexible scheduling allows for many options, and respite can take place in the community, at your home, or at the family home.
Monadnock Developmental Services is seeking highly committed and loving Adult Foster Care providers (Home Providers) in the Keene and Peterborough area. Adult Foster Care is a family setting for adults who are unable to live alone due to a physical or developmental disability. Providers do not need to be married or own their home, they may rent, be single, or have children. Providers should possess patience, common sense, a genuine acceptance of the person with the disability and the willingness to open their home. MDS will provide on-going support, training and a generous stipend.
